The Ams and Thunderbirds will meet tonight for the seventh and final time this season.
Tri-City is 1-4-1-0 against Seattle so far this season.
Brad Lambert leads head-to-head scoring with three goals and seven assists. Ethan Ernst and Jordan Gavin lead the Ams each with three goals against the Thunderbirds. Nick Avakyan has played in net for 4/6 games against the Thunderbirds and has Tri-City's lone win against Seattle this season. Avakyan has an impressive 0.914 save percentage over four games against Seattle.
Tri-City most recently played last Sunday in Seattle. The Ams hung in with the Western Conference leading Thunderbirds for two periods, but a pair of third periods goals pushed Seattle to a 4-2 victory. Reese Belton and Jalen Luypen scored Tri-City's two goals. Luypen has goals in Tri-City's last two games. Nick Avakyan played in net, turning aside 41 of 44 shots faced. It was the fifth time he has made 40+ saves in a game this season. The Ams were out shot 45-23.
Tonight will open another three-in-three weekend for the Americans. Tri-City is currently tied with Everett in the Western Conference standings with 63 points, four points behind Prince George in 4th.
