The Wheat Kings host the Edmonton Oil Kings on Tim Hortons Next Gen Night. Several young Wheat Kings fans will participate in several positions including Gam Night host, PA Announcer and Play by Play Broadcaster.
Catch the action beginning at 7:00pm from Westoba Place. Doors open at 6:00pm.

NEWS & NOTES:
Last Game: The Wheat Kings shutout the Medicine Hat Tigers Wednesday night 2-0. It was a game of firsts for a couple Wheat Kings. Zakhar Polshakov scored his 1st career WHL Game winning goal with his 7th of the season. Goaltender Nick Jones recorded his first career WHL shutout stopping all 26 shots he faced earning first star honors. Blue liner Quinn Mantei led the way with two assists picking up his 2nd career multi point game.
March 11th VS Edmonton Oil Kings : The Wheat Kings and Edmonton Oil Kings conclude their season series Saturday night. Last time these two clubs met was Friday February 10th when the Wheat Kings defeated the Oil Kings 4-1. Caleb Hadland and Matt Henry both scored their first WHL goals that evening. The lone Oil Kings goal was scored by Gavin Hodnett. Hodnett leads the season series in scoring with 4 goals and 2 assists in 3 games played.
Nationally Recognized: Goaltender Nick Jones was named CHL's 3rd Star of the Night last Wednesday after recording the 1st shutout of his Western League career stopping all 26 shots he faced in a 2-0 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Called Up: Wheat Kings Top Prospect Joby Baumuller has been called up and will remain with the Wheat Kings for the rest of the season. The former 12th overall pick, Baumuller finished tied for 4th overall in goal scoring as a 15-year-old in the Saskatchewan U18 AAA Hockey League this year.
Canada West Champs: Wheat Kings Alumni Zach Wytinck, Connor Gutenberg & Jaeger White will play in the Canadian University Cup after University of Calgary defeated University of Alberta 2-1 Sunday. Former Prince George Cougars captain Josh Maser broke a 1-1 tie with 3:16 remaining in the third period, while former Lethbridge Hurricanes and Moose Jaw Warriors netminder Carl Tetachuk made 18 saves as the University of Calgary claimed its first Canada West Men's Hockey title in 27 years Sunday. Both the University of Calgary and University of Alberta advance to the 2023 University Cup, slated for March 16-19 in Charlottetown, P.E.I.
Vinny's Vibin: Vincent Iorio suited up in his first NHL Regular season game with the Washington Capitals Saturday night and set up Alexander Ovechkin's 815th career goal. Iorio spent his entire Western League career with the Wheat Kings from 2018 to 2022 and was selected by the Capitals 55th overall in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
Who's Hot: Brett Hyland currently has 19 goals scored in his last 21 games. Forward Nate Danielson has been stellar as of late scoring 16 points in his last 12 games. Danielson's 11 game point streak was snapped Tuesday night in Prince Albert.. Nolan Ritchie has 50 points in his last 40 games.
