
Fresno Scores Two Power-Play Goals in last 3:26 for Victory

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers® were edged by the Fresno Falcons 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night in front of 4,747 fans at the Orleans Arena. Matt Stefanishion scored the game-winning goal 1:04 into overtime for the Falcons second straight victory over Las Vegas. Falcons forward Jarrett Konkle scored the game-tying goal on the power-play with 2:22 remaining in regulation to force overtime. Las Vegas forwards Adam Cracknell and Tyler Mosienko each scored in the defeat. Fresno's Daryl Marcoux also scored as the Falcons improved to 16-9-4 on the season. Goalie Daniel Manzato suffered the loss, stopping 34 of 37 Wranglers shots. Fresno's Jake Moreland picked up his eighth win of the season with 19 saves. The same two teams meet again Tuesday night at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.
Tyler Mosienko opened up the scoring with his 11th goal of the season at 7:53 of the first period. Adam Cracknell and Jason Jozsa assisted on the goal as Las Vegas claimed a 1-0 lead.
Fresno tied the game 1-1 just 47-seconds into the second period as Daryl Marcoux slipped a shot through traffic and into the back of the Wranglers net. Cracknell scored his 15th of the season with just over three minutes to go in the middle period, pushing Las Vegas back in front 2-1.
The Falcons tied the game late in the third period with a power-play goal by Jarrett Konkle at 17:38. Konkle's 14th of the season sent the game into overtime.
In the extra frame, the Falcons took advantage of a power play. Fresno worked the puck to the front of the net where Matt Stefanishion scored his sixth goal of the season for the 3-2 win.
Las Vegas continues a six-game home stand with the Fresno Falcons on Tuesday, January 8th at 7:05 pm at the Orleans Arena.
