For the second straight night, Fresno raced out to a 3-0 lead, getting first-period goals from Oren Eizenman, Mike Ramsay, and Matt Stefanishion. Idaho got on the board at 14:46 of the second period on a Taggart Desmet goal, but the Falcons answered with a power-play goal from John Morlang just 36 seconds later to take a three-goal lead into the final period. Just like Wednesday, the Steelheads scored twice early in the third to pull within one, but again, Jake Moreland shut the door late to record his third straight win in goal.
Saturday, December 8 @ Idaho FALCONS 4 Steelheads 3 (SO)
The Falcons extended their winning streak to five games with a come-from-behind win over the Steelheads. Taggart Desmet and Greg Rallo scored just 22 seconds apart midway through the first period, giving Idaho a 2-0 lead. Jarrett Konkle cut Fresno's deficit to one with his ninth goal of the season at 14:21. Rallo tallied his second of the night 5:30 into the second period, putting Idaho back up by two, but a Matt Stefanishion goal at 13:02 pulled Fresno within one heading into the final period. John Morlang tallied a power-play goal 21 seconds into the third period to eventually force overtime.
