Steelheads Off The Hook

December 10, 2007 - ECHL (ECHL)
Idaho Steelheads News Release

FALCONS SWEEP IN ON QWEST ARENA

All just one goal losses (3-2, 4-3, 4-3 SO), but losses just the same. Though it was hard-fought, a three-game sweep by the Falcons was not how Idaho wanted to start its longest homestand of the season. However, what's done is done and Idaho can take some solace in knowing that it lost a three-game series at home to Las Vegas last season around the same time of year and came back to win the Kelly Cup a few months later.

UPSTREAM BATTLE

Nothing appears to be coming easy for the defending Kelly Cup Champions this season. With six more games to spawn at the home arena in December, the Steelheads need to put some "w's" on the board before a mostly-on-the-road second half of the campaign begins. The Steelheads will face off against the West Division's last place Phoenix RoadRunners this week, and cannot afford to take them lightly.
