Tacoma, WA - Outfielder Jake Fraley throttled a three-run bomb in the bottom of the seventh, which proved to be the game-winner, as the Tacoma Rainiers claimed the rubber match of their three-game series against the Omaha Storm Chasers on Thursday at Cheney Stadium, 5-2.

Entering the bottom of the sixth with the Rainiers (51-59) down two, Jaycob Brugman knotted the score when he lifted his team-leading 15th home run of the season, an opposite field round-tripper that scored Jose Lobaton. An inning later, Fraley put Tacoma ahead for good with his three-run blast that scored John Andreoli and Eric Filia.

The Rainiers entered Thursday with a .313 average against southpaws, the best clip in affiliated baseball and collected eight hits, including two home runs against Omaha's (49-61) lefty starter Foster Griffin (7-5).

Right-hander Nabil Crismatt made his third start with the Rainiers since being transferred back from Double-A Arkansas on July 15. The 24-year-old surrendered two runs and collected eight strikeouts across six innings, making it his longest outing in a Rainiers uniform.

Major League rehabber Brandon Brennan (1-0) earned his first win as he tossed a perfect seventh and right-hander Darin Gillies preserved the lead by striking out the side in the eighth.

Aaron Northcraft took over the mound in the ninth and locked up his fourth save of the season. The sidewinder spun a 1-2-3 final inning and collected a pair of strikeouts to close out the contest.

The Rainiers will host the Iowa Cubs (58-52), Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, on Friday for the start of a four-game wraparound series at Cheney Stadium. First pitch is at 7:05 p.m. PDT as right-hander Mike Wright (1-2, 3.13) takes the hill to face Iowa right-hander Alec Mills (6-3, 4.98). Friday is Tacoma's annual Paint the Park Purple event presented by UW Tacoma, followed by post-game Fireworks. Mike Curto will have full coverage on South Sound Talk 850 with audio streaming available on the Tacoma Rainiers TuneIn Radio Network.
