MONTGOMERY, AL - Biscuits Matt Moore, Marquis Fleming, Stephen Vogt, and Daniel Mayora will represent the South Division at the 2011 Southern League All-Star Game presented by State Farm in Jackson, Tennessee.

All-Star teams are voted on by Southern League field managers, radio broadcasters, general managers, and print media. The rosters were released today by the Southern League office, with starting lineups scheduled to be released over the next two days.

Moore, a 21-year-old left-handed pitcher, leads the league in strikeouts with 87 (27 more than any other pitcher in the league). He solidified his all-star status with an exceptional month of May, during which he went 2-1 and posted a 1.05 ERA. His 2.78 ERA overall is fourth-best in the league. Relief pitcher Marquis Fleming will join Moore on the South's pitching staff. Possessing one of the top changeups in the league, Fleming has posted a 2.11 in 20 relief outings and holds a ridiculous 12.05 K/9 IP.

Catcher Stephen Vogt leads South Division catchers with a .295 average, and leads the Biscuits in both homers and RBI. The 2010 Florida State League batting champion is one of two catchers on the roster, joined by Jacksonville's Luke Montz. Finally, Daniel Mayora has been selected as the South's starting third baseman thanks to his team-leading .322 average. Over the last 23 games, the former Rockies farmhand has hit .382.

The Biscuits have now had 33 players named All-Stars in the team's eight year history.

Birmingham led the way with six selections for the South squad. Tennessee had a remarkable 12 players chosen for the North Division.

The game will be played June 21st at Pringles Park in Jackson, Tennessee.
