OF KUO HUI LO - Activated from 7-Day DL today

JACKSON GENERALS RECAP: - The Generals were shutout by Tennessee Tuesday night at Smokies Park, 6-0 to even the series at 2-2, and force a rubber game today. Jackson fell to two games back of the Smokies in the North Division, with 11 games to play in the first half. The Generals collected nine hits in the game Tuesday, but were 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position. Kyle Seager has hit in 11 straight games after a 1-for-4 night at the plate. Jake Shaffer and Carlos Triunfel were 2-for-4 apiece, with a double. Ryan Flaherty, Josh Vitters and Nelson Perez paced the Smokies with two hits each, Dallas Beeler (1-0) tossed six shutout innings in his Double-A debut. The 2010 draft pick for the Cubs tossed a career high six innings and struck out four. Tom Wilhelmsen (1-1) suffered his first Double-A loss. Tom allowed three runs on five hits in four innings on the mound.

TODAY'S STARTER: LHP Anthony Vasquez will make his team leading 12th start of the season tonight against the Smokies. Vasquez went 9 innings in his last start and 7 in his start prior. He has no decisions in either start, despite a 2.25 ERA in 16 innings, striking out 10 and walking 2. Vasquez was an out away from a complete game shutout last Friday against MTG.

LOTS OF STARS: The Generals will have 7 representatives on the North Divison All-Star team on June 21st at Pringles Park. Pitchers Andrew Carraway, Jarrett Grube, Kenn Kasparek, Bobby LaFromboise and Erasmo Ramirez were joined by second baseman Kyle Seager and outfielder Jake Shaffer.

I-40 SERIES ENDS...FOR NOW: The top two teams in the Southern League are meeting for the first and only time at Smokies Park. The Smokies have the leagues best record at 37-22, while Jackson has the second best, 35-24. The two teams will meet just 10 times in 2011 and will not meet again until August 16-20 at Pringles Park.

HAMMERIN HALMAN: Former Jackson outfielder Greg Halman has recorded back-to-back 3-hit games to open his major league season with the Mariners (6-for-7, with a triple, 2 runs and 2 RBI). Halman played in Jackson during parts of 2008 and 2009.

DRAFT BREAKDOWN: In the first 30 rounds, the Seattle Mariners selected 31 players including 15 pitchers (12 RHP, 3 LHP), 5 catchers, 6 infielders (1 1B, 2 2B, 1 3B, 2 SS) and 5 outfielders. Of the 16 position players selected, 3 are left-handed hitters and 1 is a switch-hitter. Seattle selected 22 college players and 9 high school players.

FIRST HALF FINAL STRETCH: The Generals wrap up the first half with 15 games against the North Division (at Tennessee, at Huntsville, vs. Carolina). Jackson has played 45 games against the South Division (24-21), as opposed to 14 games against their own division, the North (11-3). Jackson will play 88 of their 140 games against the South Division.
