The Flames earned their first ever overtime win on Friday vs. Milwaukee. Anders Eriksson netted the game-winning goal just 51 seconds into the extra session. It was the NHL veteran's first goal as a Flame and extended Quad City's home ice winning streak to a franchise record three games. Kyle Greentree also scored in the game as Quad City improved to 13-15-4-3 on the season.

The Flames outshot Milwaukee 15-9 in the first period but could not beat rookie netminder Mark Dekanich. The Admirals netted the only goal of the opening frame when Mark Santorelli scored his 14th goal of the season during a Milwaukee power play. Santorelli sent a point shot through traffic and into the Flames net to give his squad a 1-0 edge.

Quad City responded by scoring the only goal of the second period. The marker came just 57 seconds into the period when Carsen Germyn hit Kyle Greentree in transition. Greentree shoveled the puck home form the mouth of the Milwaukee crease to tie the game at one. Greentree had an opportunity to put the Flames in front three and a half minutes later when he was awarded a penalty shot. Greentree created a breakaway during a Flames power play before being pulled down by Alexander Sulzer. Referee Terry Koharski awarded Greentree a penalty shot, the first of the season for Quad City. Dekanich stopped the chance with a glove save to keep the game tied at one, it would remain that way through the end of the third period.

With just seven seconds left in regulation, Milwaukee's Alexander Sulzer was called off for hooking. The penalty carried over to overtime with the game still tied at one. Just 51 seconds into the extra session, Anders Eriksson netted the first overtime goal in Flames history. Eriksson scored on a shot from the point to net his first goal as a Flame and extend Quad City's home ice winning streak to a franchise record three games.
