Senators Assign Ilya Zubov To Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Ottawa Senators assigned today left-winger Ilya Zubov to the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.

Zubov recorded two assists in six games with Ottawa since his second recall of the season on Dec. 13. He has no goals, two assists and no penalty minutes in 10 National Hockey League games this season.

In 21 games with Binghamton, the 21-year-old winger leads the team in scoring with 10 goals and 15 assists. He also has 14 penalty minutes and a +5 rating.

Zubov was Ottawa's second pick in the second round, 98th overall, in the 2005 NHL entry draft.

The Binghamton Senators (18-11-3-3, 42 pts.) host the West Division's Houston Aeros (17-13-1-5, 40 pts.) for the first time in franchise tonight at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena, with a 7:05 p.m. puck drop scheduled.
