New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release
Manchester, NH- The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, today announced that tickets for the 2010 Eastern League Playoff Games at Merchantsauto.com Stadium are going to be on sale Tuesday, August 10. Fans can purchase them online at nhfishercats.com, by calling the Ticket Office (603) 641-2005 ext. 2 or by visiting the Ticket Office at Merchantsauto.com Stadium.
The Fisher Cats have been battling the Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, for first place in the Eastern Division all season. This season would mark the second time the Fisher Cats have made it to the post-season with the last time being in 2004 when the team won the Eastern League Championship.
"The Fisher Cats are excited to be bringing the Eastern League Playoffs back to New Hampshire," said Fisher Cats President Rick Brenner. "This whole season has been a thrilling one to watch with great come-from-behind wins and the Fourth of July no-hitter by pitcher Kyle Drabek. The Fisher Cats hope to carry this winning spirit into the post-season."
The 2010 Eastern League Playoffs consist of two rounds. The first and second place teams from the Eastern Division will play each other in a best-of-five series for the Eastern Division Championship. The winner of the Eastern Division Championship will then move on to play the winner of the Western Division Championship in another best-of-five series for the Eastern League Championship.
