Reading, PA - A 12-2 win snapped a four-game losing streak for Trenton in a doubleheader split with the Reading Phillies on Tuesday night. The Thunder smacked three triples and scored six runs in the third inning of game two to ease the pain of a lost late-inning lead in game one.

Reading scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 6-5 win in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader. Kevin Mahar lined a base hit to left field off RHP Ryan Pope (2-6) to hand the Thunder their fourth consecutive loss.

Corban Joseph delivered a double and a two-run triple in his Double-A debut for Trenton. Joseph's triple sparked a three run third inning for a 3-0 Thunder lead. Matt Cusick belted a two-run double in the sixth inning and Reading countered with back-to-back homeruns off Mitchell in the bottom of the frame. DJ Mitchell allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings in receiving the no-decision.

In game two Matt Cusick, Justin Christian and Marcos Vechionacci each delivered with triples in a six-run third inning. Trenton pounded out 16 hits in a 12-2 win to end the four game skid. Cory Arbiso (4-1) cruised through five innings and allowed one run on four hits in the win. Wilkin de la Rosa yielded one run in the sixth and JB Cox tossed a scoreless seventh in the victory. Rene Rivera crushed a three-run homerun to pad the Thunder lead 12-1 in the sixth inning.

Game three of the series will be played on Wednesday at 7:05. Trenton will throw RHP Lance Pendleton (10-4, 3.38) against LFP Yohan Flande (7-7, 4.51) for Reading.
