ABOUT LAST GAME: Joe Shaw improved to 2-0 (through two starts) after tossing six shutout innings on Monday night as Columbia dominated Charleston, 13-1. Shaw also matched his career-high, striking out eight hitters. The Fireflies led the entire game and used an eight-run eighth frame to soar past the RiverDogs.

TALENTED TUCKER: Outfielder Tucker Tharp is back in the lineup again on Tuesday. In three starts (since coming off of the disabled list on Thursday), the Colorado native has five hits (.357) and drove in his first run of the season on Monday night.
CHECKING ON THE FOLKS: The New York Mets - the Fireflies parent club - defeated the Phillies on Monday, 5-2, behind seven masterful innings from Noah Syndergaard. The righty has the most strikeouts (29) in the majors through three starts. Just like Columbia, New York is 6-6.
