Milwaukee Admirals News Release

The American Hockey League announced today that Milwaukee Admirals goaltender Brian Finley has been named the CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending November 27, 2005. In three games, Finley stopped 96 of 97 shots, going 3-0-0 with two shutouts as the Admirals continued to climb the West Division standings.

Sidelined by an ankle injury for much of the start of the season, Finley made just his fourth start of the year on Wednesday night in San Antonio and stopped 29 of 30 shots to come away with a 3-1 win. On Saturday, the Admirals returned to the SBC Center and Finley turned aside 28 shots as Milwaukee beat the Rampage, 4-0, their third win over their West Division Rival in five nights. And Sunday, the Admirals completed their Texas road trip with a 3-0 win in Houston, as Finley recorded 39 saves for his second consecutive shutout. He finished the week with a 0.33 goals-against average and a .990 save percentage to go with his three victories.

In recognition of his achievement, Finley will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Admirals home game.

For the season, Finley is now 4-0-0 with a 1.54 GAA, a .950 save percentage and three shutouts for the Admirals, who have won 11 of their last 13 games after dropping their first four games of the season. Nashville's first-round pick (sixth overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, the Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. native owns a record of 70-48-10 with 14 shutouts in 135 career AHL appearances. Finley was a member of the Admirals' 2004 Calder Cup championship team and his 14 blankings are an Admirals franchise record.

The Admirals are at home again this Wednesday, November 30th at 7 pm versus the Peoria Rivermen. For tickets fans can call Ticketmaster at (414) 276-4545 or log on to www.milwaukeeadmirals.com and click on tickets.
