Amerks make two player moves

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that the Florida Panthers (NHL) have reassigned goalie Phil Osaer and defenseman Martin Lojek to the Florida Everblades (ECHL).

Osaer was recalled by the Amerks on November 25th and made his Rochester debut that night against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. The netminder made 33 saves in a 3-2 loss to the Pens. Osaer returns to the Everblades, where he was 5-1-0 with a 2.44 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage.

Lojek also heads back to the ECHL after playing one game with the Amerks. He made his Amerks/American Hockey League debut on November 20th at Cleveland. He received his first promotion to the AHL on November 15th. Before his promotion, he played in five games with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL and recorded one goal and three assists. Lojek was the Florida Panthers' fourth-round selection (105th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

The Amerks visit the Manitoba Moose for two games to begin the month of December. Rochester (12-9-0-0, 24 points) battles the second-place Moose (13-7-1-2, 29 points) on Friday, December 2nd and Saturday, December 3rd. Both games are 8:30 p.m. starts will be broadcast on WHTK 1280-AM and webcast on the B2 Networks. The game is also available to on-line viewers on the B2 Networks for $6.00.
