Connecticut Whale News Release

The Wolf Pack recorded a pair of wins and a shootout loss in three divisional games last week. They started off with a bang, rolling up a season-high seven goals in a 7-2 home-ice victory over Albany. A Friday-night visit to Manchester ended in a 2-1 shootout loss, but the Pack rebounded to beat Providence Saturday evening at the Hartford Civic Center by that same score. Robert Gherson, signed to a PTO (Professional Tryout agreement) Tuesday, played all three of the week's games, allowing a total of only four goals on 105 shots (1.30, 96.2). In Wednesday's game, Nigel Dawes registered the Wolf Pack's first four-point game of the season with two goals and two assists and Jeff Taffe chipped in a Pack season-high three assists.
