Hamilton battles Manitoba and Toronto

Hamilton Bulldogs News Release


The Hamilton Bulldogs (8-13-0-1) will look to climb the North Division standings this week as they face two division foes. Hamilton will first travel to Manitoba where they will play back-to-back games against the Moose (13-7-1-2) on Tuesday, November 29 (8:30 p.m.) and Wednesday, November 30 (8:30 p.m.). Hamilton will then return home to battle the Toronto Maple Leafs AHL Affiliate, the Toronto Marlies (8-12-0-0) in a home-and-home series. The ‘Dogs host the Marlies on Friday, December 2 at Copps Coliseum (7:30 p.m.) and then travel to Toronto on Saturday, December 3 (7:00 p.m.).

- LW Brad Winchester's goal in the Bulldogs 6-5 loss to the Cleveland Barons on Friday, November 25 was the franchise's 2200th regular season goal.

- LW Brad Winchester recorded five points (3g, 2a) against the Griffins on Saturday, November 26 (6-5 W (SO)). It was Winchester's first professional hat trick, and he also now leads the Bulldogs with six power-play goals.

- C Corey Locke took over the team's scoring lead with 18 points (6g, 12a) after recording three assists on Saturday, November 26.

- Montreal Canadiens LW Pierre Dagenais scored in the shootout as the Canadiens defeated the Atlanta Thrashers on Tuesday, November 22 (3-2 W)

- Oilers LW Raffi Torres had a goal and an assist to lead Edmonton to a 4-3 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday, November 23.

- Mike Ribeiro, Tomas Plekanec and Alexander Perezhogin all scored on Saturday, November 26 in the Canadiens 4-3 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs in Toronto
