Albany Devils News Release
Lowell, Mass. - The Lowell Lock Monsters announced several lineup changes in preparation to their three games this weekend, including the recall of C Brad Richardson and LW Paul Healey to the Colorado Avalanche.
Richardson, 20, was recalled by Colorado last weekend and made his NHL debut on Sunday against the Vancouver Canucks. He played over nine minutes in the game and finished with one shot and a minus-1 in the contest. Richardson was Colorado's fourth selection (#163 overall) in the 2003 Entry Draft and ranks fourth on the Monsters in points with 13. He was the club's nominee for AHL Rookie of the Month in October and is currently Lowell's leading rookie scorer.
Richardson played the previous four seasons with Owen Sound of the Ontario Hockey League (2001-02 to 2004-05). He finished runner-up for the OHL's Most Outstanding Player Award in 2004-05 after posting 41 goals and 56 assists in his final year for the Attack. The Belleville, Ontario, native is the sixth Lock Monsters player to be recalled to the NHL this season.
Healey, 30, is being recalled for the third time this season and joins Richardson and RW Cody McCormick already in Colorado. He has played in two games with no points and 14 penalty minutes. Healey currently has eight points (4g-4a) and 25 penalty minutes in 18 games with Lowell.
