Tonight, the SeaWolves return home beginning a six-game homestand and a three-game series with the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the 'Wolves dropped the series finale to the Binghamton Mets, 7-1, finishing their most recent road trip 2-4. The loss dropped the SeaWolves back to a season-worst three-games under .500 heading into play tonight. The 'Wolves have dropped six of their last eight games and have not won consecutive games since April 26 when they swept a doubleheader against Reading...Despite the recent skid for the 'Wolves, they remain just 2.5 games behind first place Harrisburg in a tight Western Division. All six teams in the division are separated by 2.5 games...Lefty Casey Crosby takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his fifth start and third against Bowie. He has a pair of no-decisions and a 3.00 ERA in his two previous starts against Bowie. Crosby is coming off his first win of the season in his last start at Altoona. He worked seven shutout innings, allowing just three hits with a pair of walks and a season-high seven strikeouts. It was the first win for Crosby since August of 2009...Righty Zach Clark takes the mound for the Baysox making his sixth appearance and fifth start of the season. Tonight is Clark's first appearance against Erie. He has won back-to-back starts and three of his last four. In his last start against Richmond, Clark allowed a run on three hits with a pair of walks and six strikeouts in a season-high eight innings pitched.
- Bowie leads the season series over Erie 5-2. The SeaWolves and Baysox meet 21 times in 2011.- Defensively, the SeaWolves have committed 27 errors which is tied for fourth-most in the EL.
