
Suttle Powers Thunder In Delayed Win

Trenton Thunder News Release
(Akron, OH) - Following a two hour rain delay, Bradley Suttle homered in the first and Corban Joseph tripled to break a 4-4 tie in the ninth as the Thunder (14-14) held on for the 7-4 win over the Aeros (13-15) on Friday night. Trenton received 6 1/3 solid innings from Shaeffer Hall and Suttle reached four times and drove in three in the victory.
The Thunder were able to capitalize on Cleveland rehab pitcher Carlos Carrasco in the early innings. Jose Gil extended the Thunder lead to 4-1 in the third inning off Carrasco with a double to left to score Suttle. Carrasco allowed four runs on four hits with three walks before exiting.
Akron scored two runs on consecutive errors from shortstop Jose Pirela in the eighth inning to tie the game at four. Trenton countered in the top of the ninth as Gil reached on a base hit and scored on the Joseph triple. Joseph extended his hitting streak to 17 consecutive games with the go-ahead RBI. Addision Maruszak added a two-run home run for a 7-4 lead.
Cory Arbiso (2-2) entered for Hall with a runner on in the 7th inning. Hall was removed following the consecutive errors and finished with four runs (two earned) on eight hits in the no-decison. Arbiso finished the game, walking none and striking out two to earn the win.
Trenton continues a quick three-game road trip in Akron on Saturday at 1:05 PM. Thunder RHP Craig Heyer will oppose Akron's RHP Joe Gardner from Canal Park. The action can be heard beginning with the SBLI Pre-Game Show at 12:50 pm on 91.3 WTSR-FM and on trentonthunder.com.
