Eric Neilson Loaned to St. John's IceCaps

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs head coach Richard Seeley has announced that the Monarchs have loaned forward Eric Neilson to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League. The IceCaps are the AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens.

Neilson, a Fredericton, New Brunswick native, is a veteran of 280 AHL games, previously playing for Peoria, Hamilton, San Antonio and Norfolk. During his career, Neilson won the Yanick Dupre Memorial Award as AHL Man of the Year for the 2013-14 season, and has been nominated for the award seven times.

Neilson played in both of Manchester's pre-season games against the Adirondack Thunder this season, wearing the "A" in both contests.

The Monarchs return to action with a home-and-home series against the Adirondack Thunder on Oct. 24-25 in Glens Falls, N.Y. The Monarchs will return to the Jungle for a 3 p.m. face-off Sunday, Oct. 25. Tickets are available through ManchesterMonarchs.com or by calling the Monarchs Front Office at 603-626-7825.
