(Cincinnati, OH) Alden Hirschfeld picked up his first goal of the year, but Cincinnati owned the night 5-1 over Toledo Saturday in Cincinnati. Toledo has a record of 0-1-0-1 and is 0-1-0-1 on the road.

Cincinnati scored quickly with a goal on the first shot of the game just 1:02 into the first period. After that the teams traded chances but no goals as the Cyclones held a 1-0 lead following the first period with Cincinnati out shooting the Walleye 12-8.

The Cyclones added to their lead with a go at 5:49 of the second period. Toledo had four power play chances through the first two periods but couldn't solve Cincinnati goaltender Brad Thiessen.

Cincinnati tacked on another goal halfway through the third period to extend the lead to 3-0. Alden Hirschfeld capitalized on a rebound in front for a Walleye power play goal at 14:22 of the third period. Two late goals from the Cyclones ended the scoring.

Walleye Notes: Goaltender Jake Paterson finished with 26 saves on the 30 shots he faced. Toledo finished 1-7 on the power play. Cincinnati out shot Toledo 31-26 in the game.
