ELMIRA, NY - October 17, 2015 - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, look to capture their first win of the 2015-16 season tonight at home against the Brampton Beast. The Jackals dropped their first game of the year last night against the Adirondack Thunder, 4-1.

MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP
Tonight marks the first of 11 meetings overall and first of six at First Arena this season between the Jackals and the Beast. Last year was the first year these two teams met in ECHL play and the Jackals dominated the Beast, winning five of six season meetings. Elmira also finished a perfect 3-0 on home ice against their neighbors to the north. Both teams eye their first win of the season as the Jackals fell to Adirondack 4-1 and Brampton dropped its opener to Manchester 2-1 last night.
FAST FACTS
? Last year's leading scorer Mike Seidel picked up right where he left off recording an assist in last night's season-opener against Adirondack. The Darien, IL native led the Jackals with 23 goals and 42 points last season.
? Scott Jacklin scored his first professional goal last night in his first pro game. The rookie from Kimberley, BC registered 107 points over the past four years at Robert Morris University.
? Veteran blueliner and player/assistant coach Nathan Oystrick made his Jackals debut last night donning the captain 'C'. Chris Langkow and Brad Richard were tabbed with the alternate captain 'A's.
? Elmira currently has nine rookies on its roster (C.J. Motte, Jacob MacDonald, Mitchell Stretch, Cason Hohmann, Matt Garbowsky, Scott Jacklin, Will Kessel, Mark Bennett and Nick Zappia).
