GREENVILLE, S.C. - March 1, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals kick off five consecutive games away from First Arena tonight when they visit the Greenville Road Warriors. It is Elmira's first regular season game in Greenville in nearly two years.

The Jackals are facing the Road Warriors tonight for the third of five meetings this season and the first of three at BI-LO Center. The Jackals are 2-0-0 against Greenville this season with both wins coming at First Arena. Elmira is 1-1-0 in regular season play all-time in Greenville. They also dropped a pair of playoff games here in April of 2011. The Jackals will try to keep their defensive success against the Road Warriors going in this series. Elmira has limited Greenville to one goal in each of the prior meetings while combining to score nine of its own. Elmira has struggled on the road against the South Division to the tune of a 1-4-0 record this season.
Jackals defenseman Jordon Southorn has been as reliable as they come as he has only missed six games so far this season. Lately he has taken his play to new levels and has helped Elmira to an 8-3-2 mark in February. He is currently working on a career-high six game point streak (3G, 4A) which has moved him to a tie for sixh among defensemen with 29 points. He also ranks tied for third among blueliners at +22. He has been even or better in 11 of Elmira's last 13 games (+12).
