Ontario Reign News Release
ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, defending Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings, announced they have signed Rancho Cucamonga native Branden Parkhouse.
Parkhouse will make his professional debut after completing a four-year collegiate career at Becker College in Worcester, Mass. While there, the forward finished as Becker's all-time leader in goals with 49, assists with 66, and points with a total of 115. He led his team in points in all but one season, his junior season, when he missed seven games.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound Hawks' captain recorded 40 points with 23 goals and 17 assists this season as a senior. Parkhouse was named to the Second Team All-Conference by coaches of the ECAC Northeast.
Parkhouse played junior hockey for Helena Bighorns from 2007-09 and recorded 168 points (58g, 110a) in 94 games. His team went to the playoffs both seasons. He registered 40 post-season points (14g, 26a) in 22 appearances. The forward finished first in the Northern Pacific Hockey League with 83 points in 2008-09 and third with 85 points in 2007-08. Parkhouse led the Bighorns to two Cascade Cup Championships.
Parkhouse will wear number 23 against the Colorado Eagles in tonight's game.
