Edmonton assigns defenseman to Greenville

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks and Edmonton Oilers have announced that BRENT HENLEY (D) has been assigned to the team. The 6-7, 250lbs. defenseman has played 12 games in Edmonton this season with the Road Runners of the AHL, totaling 2 points and 30 penalty minutes. Henley will wear #28, and is expected to be in the lineup when Greenville travels to Columbia on Friday night.
Henley has played 102 games in the ECHL over the past three seasons, including 99 games with the South Carolina Stingrays. He has played in 179 professional games, and has amassed 852 penalty minutes. Henley signed a free agent contract with the Edmonton Oilers organization this summer, and has been with the Road Runners for the entire 2004-05 season.
Greenville is in the midst of a five-game road trip, and will play two road games this weekend against the Columbia Inferno and the South Carolina Stingrays.
