Falcons Claim Pereira Off Waivers

Fresno, Calif. - The Fresno Falcons added right winger Joe Pereira to their roster today after claiming him off waivers from the Peoria Rivermen. Pereira appeared in 16 games for Peoria this season, recording two assists and 55 penalty minutes. The second-year pro was a teammate of fellow Falcons forward David Brisson at the University of Nebraska-Omaha from 1999-2003.
Fresno also activated forward Paul Falco from injured reserve today while assigning assistant captain Jason Weaver to the seven-day injured list.
The Falcons begin a three-game series in Victoria, British Columbia, against the Victoria Salmon Kings tomorrow at 7 p.m. Catch all the live play-by-play action on 103.1 FM, The Mountain Cat, beginning at 6:50 p.m. with the pre-game show.
