The Bulls play the first of two games against the Columbus Clippers in the second series of a five-game homestand. Durham swept Toledo in a three-game set to open the homestand - and has won four of its last five - but is still just 15-23 since the All-Star break. The Bulls have dropped 39 of their previous 62 contests to go from a 2.0-game lead in the IL South to an 11.0-game deficit. Columbus - the Cleveland Indians' top affiliate - has won three in a row, five of its last six and nine of its last 11. The Clippers enter today with a 13-6 mark in August, and lead the IL Wild Card race by 3.5 games over Gwinnett.
