Stockton Heat News Release
STOCKTON, Calif. - Three-point efforts from Dillon Dube and Mike McMurtry helped lift the Stockton Heat to a thrilling 5-2 win over Colorado Saturday night at Stockton Arena. A wild game that featured 100 combined penalty minutes was rarely close on the scoreboard, the Heat jumping out to a 3-0 lead with goals from McMurtry, Rinat Valiev and Dube, with Scott Sabourin grabbing a pair of assists as Stockton built its lead. The teams then traded goals in the third period, Colorado scoring and Stockton answering two times in the final frame. The Heat ran up a lengthy rap sheet in the contest, a season-high 56 penalty minutes, while Colorado was sentenced with 44 of its own in the game. The Heat are now 5-1-0-1 on the year against the Eagles heading into tomorrow's rematch.
