Erie SeaWolves News Release
The SeaWolves fell victim to the hottest team in the Eastern League as they dropped the series finale to the Binghamton Mets on Wednesday night at NYSEG Stadium 10-4.
Erie struck first in the top of the first inning against Mets starter Robert Carson. Jamie Johnson led off with a walk and moved into scoring position on a Bryan Pounds walk. Rawley Bishop singled home Johnson for a 1-0 Erie lead.

The Mets would not be done scoring as they again added to the lead in the bottom of the fifth. With one out, Jon Malo walked and Juan Lagares singled. The runners advanced on a wild pitch and scored on a two-out Eric Campbell single making it 8-1.
In the sixth, the Mets once again added to the lead against reliever Rob Waite. Dusty Ryan and Gronauer each singled with one out and came around to score on a Romero double, putting the Mets ahead by nine.
Erie finally cut into the deficit in the top of the seventh. Michael Rockett led off and singled and Brent Wyatt walked with one out. John Murrian stepped in and slammed a three-run home run, his fourth, over the wall in left making it a 10-4 game.

Johnson scored on a Brandon Douglas bloop single to right making it 10-5.
