Tonight, the SeaWolves look to avoid a series sweep as they take on the Binghamton Mets (New York Mets) in the final game of a three-game series at NYSEG Stadium. Last night, the Mets battled back from down four runs, taking down the SeaWolves 6-4. The loss dropped the SeaWolves back to five games under .500. The 'Wolves have also lost back-to-back games to the Mets for the first time in 2011. Lefty Casey Crosby makes his 23rd start of the season and his third against the Mets. He is 2-0 against Binghamton this season. Crosby has been stellar in the month of August posting a 2-0 record and 1.38 ERA in four starts. Crosby put together his best start of the season in his last start at Harrisburg on August 19. He tossed a season-high eight shutout innings allowing six hits with no walks and seven strikeouts. It was the first time in 2011 that Crosby did not issue a walk. He left leading 2-0 and the bullpen held on for a 2-1 win...Lefty Robert Carson takes the mound for the Mets making his 23rd start and fourth against the SeaWolves. Carson is 0-1 with two no-decisions against Erie. He took a no-decision in his last start against New Britain on August 18. In the game, he allowed five runs on seven hits with three walks and two strikeouts in five innings of work. All three of Carson's wins have come at NYSEG Stadium...The SeaWolves return to Jerry Uht Park on Thursday night to begin their final homestand of 2011. The 'Wolves host Bowie for four games and Binghamton for four games wrapping up the home schedule.
