BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today Kids Appreciation Night at Prince George's Stadium Saturday, Sept. 3, as the Baysox take on the Erie SeaWolves at 6:35 p.m. The event features a giveaway for the first 250 kids ages three to 12, free raffles for Baysox prizes, the opportunity to win one-of-a-kind stadium experiences, a special ticket offer for members of Louie's Kids Club and a postgame fireworks extravaganza provided by KB Homes.

Once stadium gates open at 5:30 p.m., kids can enter free raffles to participate in one-of-a-kind experiences including throwing out a ceremonial first pitch, helping Baysox manager Gary Kendall exchange the lineup card at home plate, announcing a Baysox batter over the speaker system, joining Ben Gordon-Goldstein on the Baysox radio broadcast for half an inning, singing "Take Me Out To the Ball Game" during the seventh inning stretch and more.
Baysox Community Programs Manager Dana DeFilippo helped plan the event. "Louie's Kids Club has hosted cool events every month of the season," DeFilippo said. "Louie can hardly wait to hang out with all his pals at Kids Appreciation Night. It will be a lot of fun, and Louie is already hard at work on some fun events for the offseason."
