'Dogs suspended by rain

Portland, Maine- Wednesday's Portland Sea Dogs game against the Connecticut Defenders (Giants) has been suspended due to rain and poor field conditions. Portland leads Connecticut 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth with the bases loaded and two outs. Mickey Hall is due up for the Sea Dogs. The game will be completed at 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 24th followed by Thursday's regularly scheduled game, which will be seven innings in duration.

Tickets dated July 23rd are NOT good for any of the games on Thursday. Fans with tickets for the Wednesday, July 23rd suspended game may exchange their tickets at the Hadlock Field Box Office for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining 2008 Sea Dogs home game, subject to availability. Tickets dated July 24th are good for the completion of today's game as well as Thursday's regularly scheduled game.

David Ortiz was 0-2 tonight in his final rehab appearance with the Sea Dogs.
