July 23, 2008 - Eastern League (EL1)
Altoona Curve News Release

Wednesday's Altoona Curve game at Blair County Ballpark is on target for a 7:05 p.m. start time. An afternoon rain shower forced the Curve Grounds Crew to cover the field for approximately two hours, but the tarp was rolled up at 5:45 p.m. and the field is currently being prepared for an on-time start against the first-place Akron Aeros (AA/Indians).

Fans who don't already have tickets to Wednesday's game, can take advantage of a great offer courtesy of the Curve and Giant Eagle. Fans bringing their Giant Eagle Advantage Card to the Blair County Ballpark Ticket Office will receive a BUY ONE TICKET, GET ONE TICKET FREE offer in the UPMC Health Plan Home Run Junction Outfield Bleachers.

Once fans have their tickets, the first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive the second in a series of six Curve Tenth Anniversary Team Photo Baseballs courtesy of Mid-Atlantic Dairy. Tonight's collectible baseball will feature Tenth Anniversary Team members Matt Capps and Jack Wilson.

In addition, it's $1 Hot Dog Night at Blair County Ballpark. All game long fans will be able to feast on dollar dogs courtesy of Atlantic Broadband!

Great seats still remain for tonight's game and can be purchased by visiting the Blair County Ballpark Ticket Office or by calling (877) 99-CURVE. Fans can also buy and print their own Curve tickets on-line at AltoonaCurve.com.
