Dallas Returns Fortunus To Texas

Cedar Park, TX - The Dallas Stars announced Friday the club has returned defenseman Maxime Fortunus to the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Fortunus did not see game action with the Dallas on his first recall to the NHL. The 26 year-old has played in 22 games this season for the Texas, recording three goals and two assists and 10 PIM. He collected seven goals and 12 assists in 58 games last season with Manitoba of the AHL. The La Prairie, Quebec native has appeared in 318 career AHL games, registering 80 points (23g, 57a). Fortunus was signed as a free agent by Dallas on July 3, 2008.

Texas will host the Milwaukee Admirals on Friday, November, 27th at 7:30. Cedar Park Center will host College Discount Night, providing $2.00 domestic drafts and a discount to fans that present a college ID. The first 3,000 fans will receive a Texas Stars t-shirt. After a three-game road trip, the Stars will begin a four-game home stand on Wednesday, December 9th at 7:30 pm against the Peoria Rivermen. Cedar Park Center will provide $2.00 domestic drafts and $1.00 hot dogs for the game against Peoria.
