ROSEMONT, Ill.---The Chicago Wolves saw a six-game home winning streak snapped with a 3-1 loss to the Abbotsford Heat at the Allstate Arena Friday night.

Heat left wing Jason Jaffray cracked a 1-1 tie at 9:32 of the third period to give Abbotsford the eventual victory. Right wing Carsen Germyn threw the puck in front from the near circle and Jaffray was able to redirect it past Wolves netminder Drew MacIntyre.

"We were undisciplined and took too many penalties," said Wolves Head Coach Don Lever. "We didn't work hard enough and played too casual."

Chicago (11-9-0-1) scored 65 seconds into the game to take a 1-0 lead, but the offense fell quiet for the remainder of the contest. Center Jason Krog collected the puck near the boards and sent it across to Johnny Pohl, who fired a shot through Heat netminder Leland Irving.

Irving (10-7-1) turned aside 21 shots for the Heat.

Keith Seabrook evened the score for Abbotsford (12-9-2-2), 1-1, 6:20 into the first frame. The blueliner ripped a long shot through traffic, which eluded MacIntyre and bounced up under the crossbar.

MacIntyre (6-7-0) posted 29 saves on 31 shots in the losing effort, before an empty net tally by Kris Chucko at 19:08 rounded out the scoring, 3-1.

The Wolves wrap up a five-game homestand tomorrow when the Manitoba Moose visit the Allstate Arena at 7 p.m.
