Columbus Recalls Left Wing Alexandre Picard

Syracuse, NY (November 27, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled left wing Alexandre Picard.

Picard, 24, has appeared in 19 games for the Crunch this season and leads the team in scoring with eight goals, seven assists and 26 penalty minutes. In 211 AHL games from 2005-09, all with the Crunch, Picard has tallied 63 goals, 63 assists and 374 penalty minutes. In addition, Picard has skated in 58 NHL games, all with Columbus, notching two assists.

A native of Les Saules, Quebec, Picard was selected by Columbus in the first round, eighth overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch return home to face Houston on Friday, November 27 at 7:30 p.m. at the War Memorial at Oncenter.
