Cincinnati Cyclones News Release
Cincinnati, OH-The Cincinnati Cyclones are proud to welcome back former defenseman Dale DeGray. DeGray will be at U.S. Bank Arena this Saturday to drop the ceremonial opening puck before the Clones take on the Wheeling Nailers.
DeGray played 14 seasons of pro hockey including two seasons with the Cyclones (1995-97). DeGray appeared in 109 games with the Clones in the International Hockey League (IHL). He recorded 18 goals and 62 assists for 80 points during his time in Cincinnati. Degray is currently a scout for the NHL's Florida Panthers.
DeGray was a member of the 1995-96 Cyclones squad that finished with the best regular season record in the Eastern Conference of the IHL. That team would fall one game short of an appearance in the Turner Cup Finals after losing a seven-game playoff series to Orlando.
DeGray appeared in over 1,000 professional hockey games after being drafted by the Calgary Flames in the eighth round of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. DeGray played in 153 NHL contests with the Calgary Flames, Toronto Maple Leafs, Los Angeles Kings and Buffalo Sabres. DeGray recorded 18 goals and 47 assists for 65 points with 195 penalty minutes during his time in the NHL.
