Augusta Lynx News Release
The Augusta Lynx got a temporary boost from Matt Dzieduszycki and Greg Jacina this past weekend, but both forwards have been recalled to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League following this weekend's action.
Dzieduszycki, 23, has played in 12 games with Augusta this season, recording six goals and 12 points in those contests. The Mississauga, Ontario native also participated in 28 games for the Rampage this season with two goals and six points, and over his career has played 70 games with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL with 12 goals and 22 points. In addition, he played briefly with the Dayton Bombers last season, totaling 10 games and nine points with three goals.
Jacina, 21, was selected to the ECHL's Western Conference All-Star squad this year, his rookie campaign. The first player ever to score a playoff game winning goal for the Mississauga IceDogs in the Ontario Hockey League, Jacina went to training camp with the Florida Panthers and San Antonio Rampage this year before coming to Augusta to start the season. With the Lynx, the Guelph, Ontario native has appeared in 40 games, notching 10 goals and 25 points so far. He was recalled to San Antonio for the first time this season just after the ECHL All-Star game, where he had one assist in three games.
The Lynx get back to the ice at home this week, with games on Friday against Roanoke and Saturday against Columbia. Both contests are slated for 7:35 pm starts. Sunday, Augusta travels to Charlotte to battle the Checkers in a 3 pm Sunday matinee contest. All three games will be carried live on EAGLE 102, with the pre-game show starting one-half hour before puck drop. Tickets are available through all TicketMaster locations, online at www.TicketMaster.com, or you may charge by phone at (706) 828-7700. Seats may also be purchased through the Augusta Richmond County Civic Center Box Office from Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
