CINCINNATI, OH - The Florida Everblades (28-24-3) dropped their second straight decision to the Cincinnati Cyclones (21-20-8) on Saturday night at US Bank Arena after falling by a score of 3-2.

A high-speed first period saw each team get on the scoreboard in the opening 20 minutes. Just like Friday night, Cincinnati opened the scoring when Brady Calla blistered the net with a hard slap shot from the top of the right circle that beat Everblades goalie Jaroslav Janus high on the stick side at 4:14.

The Everblades answered that tally however with their first of the night at 8:17 when Mathieu Roy collected his 10th goal of the year with a hard wrist shot from the right circle on a 2-on-1 rush. Phil Paquet notched the lone assist on the tally by playing the puck ahead to Roy from the neutral zone.

In the second period the back-and-forth action continued with the Cyclones grabbing the lead back at the 2:26 mark of the period when Paul McLlveen wristed a shot from the slot past Janus for his sixth goal of the year.

Once again the Everblades battled back to even the score, this time at the 6:00 mark when Alex Imbeault was able to collect the puck off a goal mouth scramble at the left post and lift home his 28th goal of the year. The play began with Francis Lemieux feeding the puck from center ice up to Matt Beca who cut to the net before letting a back-hand shot go from the slot that was stopped by Cyclones net-minder Chet Pickard but led to the scramble.

Before the period ended however Cincinnati grabbed their third lead of the night by converting on a 5-on-3 power play when Barrett Ehgoetz scooped up the loose puck at the left side of the crease and while falling over slid the puck past a diving Janus at 17:32.

The third period saw no scoring although featured plenty of action as the Everblades fired 10 shots at Pickard while holding the Cyclones to just four shots in the frame. Unfortunately the Everblades couldn't get any closer and dropped their second straight to the Cyclones.

In goal Janus saw his record fall to 9-12-0 after allowing the three goals on 24 shots while Pickard improved his record to 8-11-2 after turning away 26 of 28 shots.

The win allowed the Cyclones to take the season series between the clubs as Florida finished 3-4-1 vs. Cincinnati.
