
Forward Eric Castonguay Loaned by Reading to Bridgeport

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Eric Castonguay ["kas TAWN gay"] has been loaned by the Royals to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL. This is the second trip to Bridgeport this season for Castonguay, a fourth year pro from Granby, Quebec. He scored a goal in the Sound Tigers' 3-0 win over the Norfolk Admirals on November 28, 2010 in his lone game with the team. In forty-one games with the Royals this season, Castonguay has twenty-nine points (9g-20a). Last night, he scored a tie-breaking short-handed game winner for the Royals in the team's 4-2 win over the Wheeling Nailers. Castonguay has played fifty-four AHL games in his career.
The Royals return to action tonight (Saturday, February 12, 2011 @ 7:05 pm), when they'll face the Trenton Devils at the Sovereign Center in Reading. The first 1500 fans 21 years of age and older tonight will receive a Tenth Anniversary Commemorative beer glass courtesy of Coors Light. The Royals game day broadcast will kick off with the pre-game warm-up show presented by The Works at Wyomissing on the Royals Broadcast Network (WRAW 1340 am in Reading, www.1340wraw.com) at 6:35 pm.
