It's a pivotal divisional match-up this afternoon, as the Kalamazoo Wings visit the Huntington Center to face-off against the Toledo Walleye during the State Line Face-Off Series, Presented by AmeriGas, America's Propane Company. On the season, the K-Wings lead series against the Walleye with a record of 4-2-1-0.
Kalamazoo remained tied for second place in the North Division last night with an impressive 8-5 victory over the Greenville Road Warriors at Wings Stadium. Besides remaining tied with the Cyclones, the win put the K-Wings 10 points behind the division leaders, the Wheeling Nailers.
Since January 15th, the Walleye have reeled off a record of 9-2-1-0 and as a result have positioned themselves in striking range in the North Division. Currently in fourth place, Toledo is just two points behind Kalamazoo and Cincinnati for second.

Forward Trent Daavettila recorded the K-Wings fourth hat trick of the season as part of a four-point (3 goals, 1 assist) in last night's victory. The hat trick was the first in Daavettila's career and the four-point effort tied a personal career best for the third-year forward.

Defenseman A.J. Thelen is closing in a personal milestone. Thelen needs one more point to reach 100 in his career.
Power Surge
Last night, forward Kory Karlander recorded his team-leading 10th goal on the power-play. On the season, Karlander ranks second in the ECHL in power-play points with 27.
Eight Is Enough
Kalamazoo's eight-goal performance yesterday established a season-high for K-Wings. The K-Wings previous high was seven goals reached three times this season, all on the road, including twice at the Huntington Center against the Walleye.
