Cincinnati Cyclones News Release

JOHNSTOWN, Pennsylvania - The Cincinnati Cyclones rallied three times from deficits on Friday night, but a shootout goal from Randy Rowe gave Johnstown a 4-3 win on Friday night. Cyclones forward David Desharnais had a goal and an assist in the shootout loss.

Johnstown opened the scoring 1:47 into the opening period, as Kenny Roche notched his fifth goal of the season from Cody Burki and Mark Tobin. The Cyclones knotted the scores at 1-1, as rookie David Desharnais collected his 23rd goal of the campaign at 11:46, from Ryan Russell. Russell, taking the puck off a turnover, tried to twice play the puck to the left wing side-where it was defended both times. The second block wound up on the stick of Desharnais, who fired the puck over the left shoulder of Ryan Nie.

The Chiefs took the lead a second time at 4:04 of the second period as Tobin picked up his sixth goal of the year from former Cyclone Greg Gallagher and Roche. Cincinnati evened the scores at 2-2, when Jason Deitsch picked up his eleventh goal from Desharnias and T.J. McElroy on the power play at 12:24. Johnstown took its third lead of the contest at 15:53, when Andrew Martens collected his eighth goal from Gallagher and Roche on the power play.

The Cyclones netted the lone goal of the third period, as Barret Ehgoetz collected his 18th of the season at 4:28 from Mathieu Aubin and McElroy. Following a scoreless overtime, Randy Rowe netted the lone score of the shootout and gave Johnstown its first win in nine tries against the Cyclones this season.
