
Fresno Falcons Shave Heads for Kids Cancer Tonight; Famous Chicken on Deck

Fresno, CA..The red hot Kelly Cup Playoff bound Fresno Falcons,winners of eight of their last ten games, return to Fresno home ice tonight and Saturday at the Save Mart Center when they resume their Battle of the 99 rivalry against the Bakersfield Condors. Both games start at 7:35pm. The Falcons (38-17-4-4-) are playing for home ice advantage in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Tonight is Supercuts hat night and the annual St. Baldrick's Day Celebration. The first 3000 fans will receive a free hat from Supercuts and fans can stick around after the game to watch Coach Matt Thomas and the players get their heads shaved at Center Ice to benefit pediatric cancer. Supercuts stylists will be on hand to do the honors. Fans can still donate to the Falcons St. Baldrick's Day head shaving fundraiser by donating on line at www.fresnofalcons.com and clicking the St. Baldrick's logo.
Saturday night is Chicken Night in Fresno presented by Carl's Jr. The World Famous San Diego Chicken returns to Fresno for Saturday's game vs the Bakersfield Condors. The Famous Chicken will be honored before the game by City of Fresno Deputy Mayor Jeff Eben who will read a proclamation saluting the Chicken's career. The Falcons will then raise a Famous Chicken banner to the rafters in recognition and celebration of the Famous Chicken's 34 year career in the sports entertainment industry.
Saturday is also being billed as the "Rumble at the Rink". The Fresno Falcons Alumni and Bakersfield Condors Alumni will face off at 4:30pm at the Save Mart Center prior to the 7:35pm ECHL game between Fresno and Bakersfield. Both alumni teams will be wearing special jerseys to be sold in a silent auction after the game to benefit the Jr. Falcons and Central California Make A Wish. "Rumble at the Rink" is a celebration and preview of Rumble to the Summit, the annual June Motorcycle ride that benefits Central California Make A Wish. Fans may attend both the alumni game and the regularly scheduled game for the price of one ticket. Falcons tickets are on sale at the Save Mart Center and Ticketmaster.
