Sea Wolves Sign Scero Out Of Nebraska-Omaha

BILOXI, MS - The Mississippi Sea Wolves announced on Thursday that they have signed forward Brandon Scero, who recently completed his collegiate career with the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

A native of Canton, Mich., Scero had back-to-back 30-point seasons at Nebraska-Omaha, posting 34 points (18g, 16a) in 2006-07 and 34 points (16g, 18a) in 2007-08. In four seasons, the 6-0, 190-pound Scero appeared in 147 games, scoring 55 goals and 59 assists during his collegiate career. Prior to college, Scero was a member of the USA Hockey Under-18 Development Team, where he appeared in 68 North American Hockey League games, scoring 43 points (28g, 16a).

"Brandon is a kid who is eager to prove himself as a professional," said Sea Wolves head coach Steffon Walby. "He brings a scoring touch and a fresh outlook for the rest of the season."
