Cyclones Acquire Defenseman Sean Duddy from Gwinnett

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones, proud affiliate of the NHL's Florida Panthers and Nashville Predators, announced today that they have acquired defenseman Sean Duddy from the Gwinnett Gladiators as part of a three-team trade.

In order to complete the deal, the Cyclones acquired Marcel Alvarez from the Trenton Titans in exchange for future considerations; Alvarez was then dealt to the Gladiators in exchange for Duddy.

Duddy, a four-year letter winner at The Ohio State University had totaled four assists in 11 games this season with Gwinnett. As a Buckeye, the 23-year-old amassed 24 points (2 goals, 22 assists) in 124 collegiate games. A team captain in his junior and senior years, Duddy was named to the Lowes Senior Class All-American Second Team in 2011-12. He made his pro debut with Gwinnett last spring and registered four points (1 goal, 3 assists) in seven games.
