The Elmira Jackals Want Your Mac-And-Cheese
February 13, 2013 - ECHL (ECHL)
Elmira Jackals News Release
ELMIRA, N.Y. - February 13, 2013- The Elmira Jackals want to see tons of boxes of mac-and-cheese at their home game this Friday against the Reading Royals. Not because they are hungry, but because they want their fans to use them as noisemakers!
This Friday the Jackals are having a mac-and-cheese noisemaker night to benefit the Food Bank of the Southern Tier. Jackals fans can make the night a success by bringing new, unopened boxes of mac-and-cheese with them to First Arena for the Jackals' 7:05 p.m. game versus the Reading Royals.
Throughout the game fans can use their boxes of mac-and-cheese as noisemakers to help cheer the Jackals on to victory. Afterwards, donation stations will be set up for fans to leave their boxes to be donated to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier.
"This is a really fun promotion that we want our fans to get behind. Thousands of boxes of mac-and-cheese will make a lot of noise and create a great atmosphere for an important rivalry game against Reading. And we're thrilled to host this event alongside Food Bank of the Southern Tier and help collect donations for their benefit," said Jackals general manager Matt Hufnagel.
