ALTOONA, PA - Jonel Pacheco was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate and the Altoona Curve won their third consecutive ballgame defeating the New Britain Rock Cats for the first time this season, 6-4 Tuesday night at Blair County Ballpark.

With the outstanding plate performance Pacheco now has 15 multi hit games to tie for the team lead and tied his season long hit streak at six games (9x24, .378)

The Curve got the scoring started when Jim Negrych singled home Jose Tabata in first inning. New Britain would tie the score on a wild pitch scoring Juan Portes in the second, but the Curve regained the lead in the bottom of the second thanks to Gorkys Hernandez who doubled home Angel Gonzalez and then scored on a single by Tabata to give the Curve a 3-1 lead.

The Rock Cats tied the game in the fourth with two runs, the first on a double by Denny Lehmann and the second on a single by Yancarlos Ortiz, but the Curve again came right back in the bottom half of the fourth when Jason Delaney drilled a double to deep left center field to score Hernandez and Tabata and give Altoona a 5-3 lead.

Daniel Moskos (4-5) picks up his fourth win of the season after tossing five innings and allowing four runs on eight hits and recorded 11 ground ball outs. Reliever Scott Nestor picked up his fourth save in five tries.

Altoona (22-42) looks to extend their three game win streak Wednesday night with southpaw Kyle Bloom (0-4, 3.52) on the mound. Right hander Matt Fox (5-2, 5.64) will get the start for New Britain (33-30). Wednesday's first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at Blair County Ballpark with radio coverage beginning at 6:35 p.m. on ESPN Radio 1430, WVAM and the Curve Radio Network.
