OF Austin Krum Promoted From Tampa to Trenton

(Trenton, NJ)- The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, have announced that OF Austin Krum has been promoted from Tampa (High-A) to Trenton.

Krum has appeared in 53 games for the Tampa Yankees and produced a .272 batting average, 14 RBI and a team-high 35 walks. Krum has played all but one game in center field. In 2008, the 6-foot left-hander appeared in 131 games for Charleston (Low-A), and batted .272 with eight home runs and 67 RBI. Krum was drafted by the Yankees in the 9th round of the 2007 draft out of Dallas Baptist University.

Trenton begins a three-game series tonight at Waterfront Park against the Connecticut Defenders. RHP Zach McAllister (5-2, 1.60) will start for Trenton.
