Albany, NY (November 12, 2010) - The newly-formed line of Matt Beleskey, Dan Sexton and Trevor Smith combined for seven points, and J.P. Levasseur stopped all 23 shots he saw en route to securing a 3-0 shutout win for the Crunch over the Albany Devils tonight at the Times Union Center.

The Crunch's three newest additions hooked up for the game's first goal with just five seconds left in the first period with Syracuse on a 5-on-3 advantage after Albany's Michael Swift and Mark Fayne took back-to-back minors just 12 seconds apart at the 19:30 and 19:42 marks.

Danny Syvret moved the puck from the point to Sexton at the bottom of the left circle. Sexton turned and found Beleskey in the slot. Beleskey's initial shot was blocked, but he found the rebound and fired a wrister on his second attempt past Jeff Frazee to give the Crunch a 1-0 lead.

The Crunch capitalized again just 1:07 into the second period after beginning the stanza with a carry-over man-advantage. Sexton again set up the play when he sailed a cross-ice pass from the half-wall to Nicolas Deschamps, who pounded the puck past Frazee on the one-timer to put the Crunch up 2-0.

Sexton added his third point of the game at the 7:46 mark of the third period when he put the Crunch up 3-0 on a fluke play. Beleskey sent a pass up along the right wing boards that bounced along the ice. Before the puck could even settle down, Sexton snapped the wobbling disk towards the net where it knuckled past Frazee's right shoulder and into the net for the goal.

Levasseur was good when he had to be and fought off a flurry of action with his team down a man in the game's final 21 seconds to secure the win and the shutout.

The Crunch return home from a four-game road trip to face Hershey on Saturday, November 13 at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena at 7:30 p.m.
